2019 poses as volatile and diverse as I change from one phase to the next. With new thoughts and expressions, to new process and technique. A strong desire to connect life and energy. To express an emotion that speaks to the inner self and reflect not what is visible but what is rendered visible. To express an energy that is unknown and unseen. For my paintings to radiate and echo that creative energy and enhance visible feelings, that flows from me to the viewer via the canvas and connect the urban life with this energy. What is seen and felt in the paintings are ultimately different expressions of the same thing.
So, no matter what life's intensity - the important thing is that you are feeling something.
As I move further and further away from the usual painters tools, I am on a journey to explore and create works using unconventional gadgets and utensils, hardware tools, heavy impasto with gels, molds and fluid paints.
The 2 styles I have worked on also indicate my emotions at that time. Over-painting in layers has helped me generate dimension and produce horizontal and vertical lines causing illusions and revealing of the underlying colors.
