The Diary of an Artist!
December 1st, 2020 - The year of mentally processing and thinking
These past few months have been surreal with our daily lives turned upside down. I found it crucial to keep myself optimistic and energized.
I have used this time for self-realization and took a different path than I was otherwise used to and created paintings that expressed my feelings during the lockdown.
In March, I would stare at the blank canvases that lacked the conventional existence of form and color, and, together with my passion, vivid imagination, and creativity, I painted canvases using texture, color, and technique. From the original state of nonexistence came reality, dreams, reflections, illusions, purpose, echo, spirit, breath, purity, and light. I titled my paintings the same.
Life is full of color, and, like so many other things in our path, color has meaning. It exists in our everyday experiences and brings out feelings from within. I use different types and sizes of unconventional tools to portray movement on the canvas.
When completed, the painting has a unique rhythm, structure, integrity, and texture. It showcases the different energy zones that I find myself in daily.
